Christine Calacsan

Attorney

Christine joined the team at Candelaria LLP in March of 2025, bringing a diverse legal background to the Trusts and Estates Practice. Her experience in immigration law and criminal defense has equipped her with a strong foundation in legal analysis, meticulous research, and effective advocacy, all driven by a genuine commitment to the well-being of her clients.

Before joining Candelaria LLP, Christine was an Immigration Attorney at nonprofit organizations in both San Diego, CA, and Columbus, OH. In these roles, she provided crucial legal assistance to Afghan parolees, skillfully navigating complex bureaucratic systems through regular interaction with U.S. Government agencies, Immigration Courts, and U.S. Consulates abroad. Her ability to collaborate effectively within dynamic environments proved invaluable in serving this vulnerable population.

Christine's dedication to advocacy is further underscored by her work as a Public Defender at the Louisville-Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office. There, she managed a significant caseload, providing zealous representation to indigent clients at every stage of the legal process, from arraignment through trial.

A Southern California native, Christine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She earned her Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law.

Driven by a clear passion for the law and a deep commitment to providing diligent and compassionate service, Christine is enthusiastic about assisting clients with their trust and estate planning needs at Candelaria LLP. She is also excited to embrace the Bay Area as her new home.
